Every fortnight we'll read and discuss an article from Piazzetta Italiana, the Italian culture e-magazine by Serena Capilli. Discover Italy through its food, art, traditions and everyday life — and practise your Italian in a warm, supportive setting where every contribution is welcome.

About the Course

Fortnightly in-person sessions

Small group (max 8 participants)

Based on Piazzetta Italiana e-magazine by Serena Capilli


Each session focuses on one article — reading together, exploring vocabulary, and discussing the topic in Italian

Focus on reinforcing grammar naturally through context (no explicit grammar teaching)

Strong emphasis on useful vocabulary and everyday expressions

Guided discussion to encourage participation at a comfortable pace


Supportive, friendly, and non-judgemental environment


This course is suitable if you:

  • Are at A2-B1 level

  • Can understand simple to intermediate written and spoken Italian

  • Feel hesitant or unsure when speaking

  • Want more structure and guidance than a conversation drop-in

Each session explores a different article, so missing the odd session won't leave you lost. We do ask, however, that you commit to attending most sessions — this is a small group and your presence makes a difference.
