Ciao, I’m Irene!

Ciao, I’m Irene!

I've always been fascinated by languages, curious about how people connect across cultures. Growing up in Italy, I dreamed of living abroad, and when I moved to London, that dream evolved into something even more meaningful: creating a space where others could discover the joy of Italian language and culture.

After graduating in Intercultural Studies from the University of Florence, I earned a Master's in International Liaison and Communication at the University of Westminster. I also trained as a teacher of Italian as a foreign language, obtaining the DITALS certification; all of which shaped my belief that language is more than grammar, and gave me the tools and knowledge to build this school from the ground up.

In 2018, I founded Love Live Italian with a simple vision: joyful, immersive learning rooted in real life. Since then, I've built a growing school and community, designing the courses, workshops and events, curating the experiences, and bringing together a team of fantastic teachers who share that same passion.

Today, Love Live Italian offers everything from group courses and private lessons to cultural events, book clubs and pasta nights, all designed to help you live the language, not just learn it. Wherever you're starting from, beginner, returner, or advanced learner, we're here to support your journey and make learning Italian something you genuinely look forward to.

Our Team

Love Live Italian is powered by a growing community of talented native-speaking teachers. Alongside our core team, we collaborate with specialised tutors for 1-to-1 lessons and kids’ clubs across London.

Elena

Teacher

She teaches Italian at all levels from complete beginners to advanced learners working with both adults and young learners. Her lessons are tailored to each student, with a focus on speaking, vocabulary, pronunciation, and building real confidence in the language.

Elena's distinctive teaching stems from her background: with experience as a university lecturer, theatre director, and voice practitioner, she brings natural creativity and expression to every lesson, making sessions engaging, dynamic, and rooted in how Italian is actually spoken and lived.

Elena is available for 1to1 online and in London lessons.

Serena

In London, Serena has taught at institutions such as the University of the Arts and the American School. She is also the author of courses and workshops on learning Italian through traditional Italian dance, presented at colleges and at the Language Show London.

Sara

Teacher

Sara is an Italian teacher born in Naples and raised in Caserta. She began her teaching journey in 2018 in Canada, where she has advanced her educational expertise and teaching skills with students from all over the world.

In her classes, Sara focuses on real communication: speaking, making mistakes, laughing, and feeling comfortable are all essential parts of the learning process. She creates a relaxed and welcoming environment where language becomes a tool for expression, not just something to study.

She is also a certified CILS Administrator for Italian citizenship exams and continues to develop her teaching to offer increasingly engaging and authentic learning experiences.

Sara teaches some of our language courses in London and online and is also available for 1to1 lessons.

Giovanna

Teacher

Giovanna was born and raised in Naples, where her love for teaching began. She holds a degree in Economics and earned her DITALS I certificate from the Leonardo Academy of Salerno in 2016.

Her teaching journey started in Italy, where she volunteered to teach Italian to immigrants. After moving to London, she worked in after-school and integrated courses across primary schools, specialising in Italian as a second language. She combines different approaches to suit her students, always focusing on interactive, communicative learning.

Giovanna also has experience as a Group Leader for international summer camps and, since 2022, has worked at South Essex College as a Student Learning Coach. In 2024, she completed a TEFL Level 5 Diploma to further expand her teaching expertise.

Giovanna teaches our Due Chiacchiere Insieme B2+ course onlien and is available for 1to1 lessons.

Anahi Isabel

Teacher & Writer

Born in Argentina and raised on the shores of Lake Garda, Anahi studied Languages and Literature at the University of Verona and now lives in Brighton.

She has taught Italian since 2018 and brings the same warmth to her writing as to her lessons: spontaneous, empathetic, and deeply rooted in Italian culture.

Anahi is also the writer behind L'Italia che ti sorprende, our monthly membership newsletter entirely in Italian; a beautifully crafted deep dive into Italian culture, language and life, designed for intermediate and advanced learners.

For Anahi, writing is how she gives her soul a face.

Anahi is available for 1to1 lesson online and in Brighton.

Patrizia

Teacher

Patrizia has over 22 years of teaching experience, including early years teaching in London. For the past 15 years, she has specialised in children’s language learning, making Italian accessible and enjoyable from the very beginning.

She works with bilingual children with Italian parents as well as those learning Italian out of personal interest. Her lessons are playful and interactive, using games, songs, role play, and creative activities such as seasonal letters and handouts. Rather than putting pressure on children, she gently models the correct language, helping them gain confidence naturally.

Our Teaching Philosophy

Embracing language through authentic experiences

At Love Live Italian, we believe language learning should be joyful, personal, and rooted in real-life connection. Here’s how that shapes every lesson we teach:

Learning Through Connection

We know that language comes alive through interaction. Whether it’s in a small group, a 1:1 session, or a lively club, our focus is on real conversations — not memorisation. We create a warm, encouraging space where speaking Italian becomes natural.

Enrol

Embracing Mistakes

Mistakes aren’t failures — they’re proof that you’re trying. Our teaching approach welcomes missteps as part of the learning journey. We offer gentle guidance, constructive feedback, and lots of encouragement so you can build confidence with every word.

Enrol

Cultural Immersion

Italian is more than grammar — it’s food, film, gestures, music, and connection. From cooking classes to book clubs and movie nights, we bring culture into the classroom to help you absorb the language the way it's actually lived.

Enrol

Individual Learning Paths

No two learners are the same. That’s why we tailor our lessons to your pace, goals, and interests. Whether you’re a shy beginner or a fluent speaker wanting to refine grammar, we’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward.
