Ready to push your Italian further? This 10-week course bridges A2 and B1, drawing on Units 10 of Nuovo Espresso 2 and Unit 1 of Nuovo Espresso 3.

You'll explore Italian homes, culture and language in depth — and dive into a gripping Italian reader along the way.

Grammar becomes more sophisticated, with new tenses and pronouns giving you far greater expressive range.

Suitable for students who have completed

Pre-Intermediate Italian Part 1, or those with an equivalent A2 level comfortable with the passato prossimo, the future tense, modal verbs, and pronouns.

On completion, you can progress to Pre-Intermediate Italian Part 3 (B1).

This course is focused on spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. Your teacher will provide a range of activities to support your learning including presentations, handouts, and audio-visual material. After each session, you will be assigned homework, which is highly recommended to consolidate your learning.
